Senior Superintendent – Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing jobsite execution, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Senior Superintendent will serve as the field leader, working closely with project managers, design teams, and clients to drive project success from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily field operations on commercial construction projects from mobilization through project completion
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, field personnel, and site activities
Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed in accordance with construction timelines
Monitor jobsite safety, quality standards, and compliance with project requirements
Collaborate with project managers to support cost control and project execution strategies
Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure proper implementation in the field
Lead coordination meetings and maintain clear communication between field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Resolve jobsite challenges and maintain productivity while minimizing project delays
Ensure successful project closeout, including punch list completion and final documentation

Qualifications

8+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects in the field
Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
Proven experience leading field teams and coordinating subcontractors
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation
Experience working on commercial, higher education, K–12, or industrial construction projects preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel within the state for project assignments
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
