Senior Manager, Software Engineering (multiple positions available)
Salesforce Inc. has multiple job openings for Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers. Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of the product. Be proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving them before they happen. Manage daily standups as the Scrum Master for engineering teams. Partner with PO to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, and risk. Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Empower the delivery team to self-prioritize. Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success. Provide technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members. Maintain high morale and motivate the delivery team to go above and beyond. Vocally advocate for technical excellence and help the teams make good decisions. Participate in architecture discussions and planning. Participate in multi-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams. Maintain and encourage company culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals. Occasionally chip in on development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product, as well as to keep technical competence sharp. *Above address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in the Seattle area: 744 N. 34th St. Seattle, WA 98103, 701 N. 34th St., Seattle, WA 98103, and 929 108th Ave, Bellevue, WA 98004. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in the Seattle area. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Salesforce offices in Seattle, WA.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or related field of study, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in related field.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Distributed systems; (2) Microservices; (3) Short release cycles; (4) Full software lifecycle; (5) Coding standards; (6) Code reviews; (7) Continuous integration (CI); (8) Agile development methodologies; and (9) Engineering team management experience. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Salesforce offices in Seattle, WA.
Salary: $251,576.00 - $253,000.00 per annum.
