The Senior Internal Events Manager owns developing and driving the internal event strategy! This role leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of all internal events at Calendly. This includes everything from large-scale all-hands retreats to small team-building events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and be able to lead all aspects of an event.

A day in the life of a Senior Internal Events Manager at Calendly

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Events, you'll focus on the end-to-end strategy, management, and execution of key internal events for a comprehensive event calendar you build based on corporate objectives. By working with internal collaborators you'll develop successful event strategies based on the needs of the business. You will own end to end all aspects of internal events, including stakeholder management, budgeting, concept development, content development, logistics, and event communications.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Lead role in conceptualizing, planning, and bringing Calendly’s strategic internal events to life including our in person company kickoff and virtual retreats
  • Driving quarterly local events for each of Calendly's city hubs.
  • Developing a methodology to capture and report on event metrics and value
  • Developing and maintaining an annual budget
  • Completing all tasks associated with implementing events in the portfolio
  • Providing support for Calendly's external strategic event portfolio including sponsorship management and on-site support

What do we need from you?

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning, or a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience leading events
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, small, virtual, and in-person events
  • Critical thinking, ability to see the bigger picture and prioritize accordingly
  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity in proposing new ideas to drive engagement
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
