Role Overview: 

The Senior HR Generalist is a pivotal role within the Human Resources department, responsible for overseeing various aspects of HR operations, including talent management, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, HR & policy compliance, project management and payroll. This position plays a critical role in supporting the organization's strategic goals by ensuring the effective management of its human capital and fostering a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. The Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department by leveraging technology to streamline processes, implementing and optimizing Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and driving process improvements across various HR functions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of HR processes, technology proficiency, and a passion for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the organization.


Responsibilities:

  1. Onboarding and Offboarding:
    • Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
    • Coordinate new hire orientation sessions and assist with the completion of required paperwork and training.
    • Conduct exit interviews and facilitate the offboarding process for departing employees.
  2. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions and issues.
    • Collaborate with benefits providers and brokers to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness of benefits plans.
  3. Payroll Administration:
    • Oversee payroll processing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll disbursements.
    • Maintain payroll records and systems, including employee data, tax withholdings, and deductions.
    • Address payroll inquiries and discrepancies, working closely with Finance and Accounting departments as needed.

4. Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, recommending appropriate resolutions.
  1. HR & Policy Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, communicating updates to stakeholders as needed.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
    • Prepare reports and analytics on HR metrics, trends, and workforce demographics.
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
  2. Data Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the management of HR data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
    • Develop and generate reports and analytics to provide insights into HR metrics and trends, enabling data-driven decision-making.
    • Utilize data visualization tools to present HR analytics in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
    • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, communicating updates to stakeholders as needed.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Analyze existing HR processes and procedures to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement changes and drive measurable results.
    • Develop and maintain standardized procedures, workflows, and documentation to support efficient HR operations.


Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree a plus!.
  • 5+ years experience in Human Resources, with increasing responsibilities and focus on HR best employment practices.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a practical context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with employ
