Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Front-End Heavy, Europe)

Sherpany employs over 150 people in six locations in Europe and remotely in 19 countries around the world.

What you will be doing:
In this role, you are part of our Product team of 50 professionals such as Frontend & Backend Developers, UX & UI Specialists, and Product Owners. You work 100% on mission-critical projects from the first day on. The role requirements will be split into two phases:

1. Phase 1 - Onboarding & sherpany.com rebranding overhault: While you will begin onboarding to our way of working and learning about the architecture and complexity of our Sherpany product, your first assignment (6-9 months) will be a complete overhaul of sherpany.com following an ambitious company rebranding exercise. The requirements are to transform the design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript. At the same time, you will leverage your expertise in Django CMS to enable efficient management of the website content, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for visitors.
2. Phase 2 - Mastering Sherpany product development: You would join our Flow Squad (Growth Squad), responsible for making our users discover new features in the product, create opportunities for upselling, and plan upgrades. You will leverage your expertise in developing the front end of our product, while contributing to research and technological challenges beyond the scope of your immediate tasks.

Other than joining one of the product team squads, you will become a valuable member of the Frontend Chapter, where you'll collaborate with fellow front-end enthusiasts to share insights, tackle challenges, and collectively elevate the standard of front-end development across the organization.

If this is your profession ambition, you'll have the opportunity to grow into a Front-end Technical Lead role, by mentoring and supporting chapter members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge within the front-end domain. Also, by defining coding standards, researching and staying up to date with technological trends, improving frameworks, performance and stability, and ensuring that the team produces reliable and efficient front-end solutions, you will help drive the quality of the Sherpany product. Don’t worry, we still want you to code at least 50% of your time and we won’t burden you with people or project management responsibilities.

Our Squads are fully autonomous and cross-functional (QA, Squad Lead, Frontend Engineer, UX Specialist, UI Specialist and Product Manager) so everyone is involved in the final shape of each feature.

What we will love about you:

• A strong foundation in Python with mid-level knowledge or higher of Django CMS for efficient content management
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular)
• Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility
• Can adapt to different stacks. Vue.js and Next.js knowledge is a bonus
