Inside the Role
As a Sr. Fleet Credit Analyst, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of DTFS commercial retail and lease credit decisions for fleet customers across designated regions. You’ll coach and mentor a team of credit analysts to ensure credit integrity, accuracy, and compliance with global and local policies. This role is central to supporting profitable portfolio growth by establishing strong partnerships with the DTFS Sales Team and our dealer network. You’ll play a key part in maintaining disciplined credit practices while contributing to a collaborative environment that values precision, transparency, and strategic thinking.This role will initially be based at the DTFS office in Fort Worth, TX, with a planned transition to the new DTFS Charlotte, NC location once it opens in Q3 2026

What You Drive at DTFS
Manage acquisition activities for fleet borrowers with US and Canada DTF outstandings that exceed $1.25MM, or requesting a line of credit. Decision credit requests up to approved limits of authority of $5MM on 1-4 rated applications or $3MM on 5+ rated applications. Review credit files prior to analysts presenting to Local or RCRC committees.
Active member of Local Credit Committee with joint authority up to $25MM. Present files to RCRC, which exceed $50MM, when necessary.
Coach and develop credit analysts on skills and competencies needed to be successful in the role, (e.g., financial analysis, asset evaluation, economic factors, etc.). Recognize and reward valued behaviors. Conduct mid-year and annual appraisals. In partnership with Human Resources, manage the interviewing and selection of candidates as needed.
Monitor proficiency and efficiency of NASC agent tasks. Collaborate and make recommendations to the responsible party to ensure training and development of NASC agents. Perform audits if necessary.
Establish and maintain positive relationship with DTFS Sales Team and dealer network in the US and Canada to assist with profitable growth in the portfolio. Participate in joint sales calls and customer/dealer visits, when necessary.
Understand all Fleet related legal documentation to confirm DTF perfection, i.e.: UCC filings and Subordination Agreements; ensure timely conduct of lease line audits.
Ensure compliance to all global and local policies and procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements to achieve optimal credit efficiencies and service levels.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years relevant work experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 3 years underwriting and/or finance experience
- Analytical Skills; ability to collect data, establish facts and identify trends/variances
- One year financial analysis and presentation skills
- High degree of customer focus and the ability to work with sales, fleet customers, and dealers with a strong focus to deliver results while motivating, coaching and working with the credit team.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
- Bachelors Degree, in Accounting and Business Administration
- Moody's software application experience
- Commercial credit experience in the transportation industry
- Previous leadership experience
