About the role

Clarivate is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical IT FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic, global finance team! In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the IT department with financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, analysing spending trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments…

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within an IT or technology-focused environment
  • Proficient in financial modelling software (i.e., Microsoft Suite of Products)

It would be great if you also had…

  • Experience with cloud cost management tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of IT budgeting and forecasting best practices
  • Understanding of IT cost drivers and allocation methodologies
  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

What will you be doing in this role?...

  • Develop and maintain annual operating budgets and forecasts for the IT department, aligned with overall corporate goals
  • Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budget and forecast
  • Analyze trends in IT spending and identify areas for cost optimization
  • Support the development of long-range financial plans for the IT department
  • Evaluate the financial impact of major IT projects and initiatives
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support IT leadership and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain complex financial models for the IT department using specialized software like Excel or VBA.
  • Develop and implement methodologies for capturing and forecasting IT costs, including hardware, software, personnel, and cloud services.
  • Automate data feeds and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial models
  • Stay current on industry best practices for IT financial modelling
  • Extract and analyze relevant data from various sources, including ERP systems, cloud cost management tools, and internal databases
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the IT department
  • Create clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate financial insights to IT leadership and other stakeholders
  • Partner with IT leadership, business units, and the broader finance team to ensure alignment between IT financial plans and corporate objectives
  • Clearly communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences, tailoring communication style to the recipient's level of understanding
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to provide financial expertise

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
