ERG is seeking a senior-level candidate to support Clean Water Act-related environmental efforts throughout the United States, as we provide technical expertise and high-quality service across the federal and state water sector to help improve the environment and public health. We offer a flexible work environment, including a remote or remote/office hybrid option associated with our Chantilly, Virginia office. ERG fosters a respectful, dynamic environment. We have a collaborative atmosphere and provide the opportunity for additional training and career growth. The position is expected to be part-time.

Job Description:
- General support for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and related water programs, with particular emphasis on activities in the western U.S. and territories
- Specific knowledge of stormwater permitting (including MS4s), total maximum daily loads (TMDLs), functional equivalency, water reuse, water quality standards, tribal programs, and training is highly desirable
- Duties may include research and analysis of state programs or documents, developing technical reports, and developing guidance and training materials
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have more than 20 years of experience in the water sector
- Be well-versed in EPA and state policies and programs
- MS, BS, or BA in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, Public Policy, or related discipline
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work alone and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
