Senior Production Support Engineer

This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Production Support Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in managing complex production environments. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a senior or leadership role, with deep technical expertise in Java, Angular, SQL, and cloud/on-premise support systems. You will play a key role in owning and resolving critical production issues, improving system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-availability solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and resolve complex production issues and incidents with minimal supervision.
  

• Perform advanced root cause analysis, document post-mortem reports, and drive permanent solutions.
  

• Act as a subject matter expert and provide L3 support for escalated issues.
  

• Analyze and debug issues across cloud and on-premise platforms.
  

• Manage application and infrastructure-related production issues focusing on performance, availability, and security.
  

• Collaborate with L2 support, development, and infrastructure teams to maintain high system uptime.
  

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficient in:
  

  • Java 17+, Spring Boot 2.5+
    

  • Angular 14+, JavaScript
    

  • SQL (with strong knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, MSSQL)
    

  • Snowflake, Python, Perl
    

  • Unix/Linux Commands
    

• Strong understanding of:
  

  • Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
    

  • Integration patterns
    

  • Database tuning, query optimization, backup, and recovery processes
    

• Experience in:
  

  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics)
    

  • Batch job schedulers (e.g., Autosys, Ctrl-M)
    

  • ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA)
    

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  

• ITIL certification or knowledge of Incident & Problem Management frameworks is preferred.
  

• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams in high-pressure environments.
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with cloud migration or cloud-native architectures.
  

• Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
  

• Contributions to automation and process improvement initiatives.
