The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. Acquisition and Economics Planning & Analysis Subdivision (AEPAS) Senior Advisor

Aerospace invites highly qualified candidates to apply to be an AEPAS part time, senior special advisor. This position requires a dynamic and collaborative senior leader with a demonstrated record of successfully providing technical leadership across a large, matrixed engineering organization with considerable expertise in the business and systems engineering activities associated with system acquisition, deployment, and sustainment to program offices across the acquisition spectrum including traditional and non-traditional contract structures, traditional and new-entrant suppliers as applied to programs for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Civil customers. The subdivision is geographically dispersed with the majority of personnel centered in Northern Virginia or Southern California. This position can be executed out of any of Aerospace’s facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work across AEPAS and Aerospace to develop solutions that enable enterprise mission success, deliver technical excellence, people excellence, and operational excellence.
- Personally perform & lead technical or analysis tasks, including hands on development and advise senior customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure AEPAS processes and products meet standards of excellence and timely execution
- Provide leadership in area of expertise
- Work with the AEPAS leadership team grow, develop, sustain a world class organization committed to excellence and foster an environment committed to mission, excellence, and opportunity
- Develop, collaborate, and maintain relationships with program offices across Aerospace and external stakeholders.
- Lead the development of subdivision tools and capabilities while ensuring the implementation of best practices.
- Actively engage with the professional community of interest by leading and organizing events such as conference, seminars, and industry forums. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for engagement and growth.
