Job Description

As a Security Professional - Mall Roving Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations to help create a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any irregularities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff.
• Document and report security-related incidents or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Assist with crowd management and help to deter theft or disturbances within the retail environment.
• Work collaboratively with store management and local law enforcement as directed and/or required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
