POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a 6 month contract role with the potential for longer term opportunity. Global Atlantic’s seeks a Scrum Master to join our Digit Program as we grow and mature in our Agile journey. In this exciting role, your expertise will help lead Agile best practices for multiple teams assisting with workflow, problem solving and team efficiency while influencing a continuous improvement mindset. Key responsibilities will include:
- Influence Agile mindset through coaching, mentoring, and fostering Agile values and practices.
- Lead the application of agility and Agile best practices including Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Guide Agile teams to deliver planned product increments and make certain team is progressing towards set objectives.
- Provide reporting and metrics for transparency into team progress and impediments and promote data driven decision-making.
- Lead teams through improvement opportunities, remove team impediments, resolve conflicts, manage risks.
- Understands product planning in an inspect and adapt environment, and Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on maximum business value.
- Ensures team adherence to Agile principle and promotes open communication among team members and stakeholders generating a positive team dynamic.
- Organizes and facilitates Sprints, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while managing risk
- Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.
- Facilitate team for better creativity, drive innovation and tries to improve the efficiency of the development teams
- Embrace teams with various levels of maturity and lead the development of resources and teams to improve Agile maturity.
- Lead Scrum of Scrum to manage cross team dependencies.
- Arranges daily stand-up meetings, facilitates/schedules meetings, demo, and decision-making processes to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process. Matrix reporting provides coaching/feedback to ensure team success.
- Project Management experience with planning, leading, and executing projects from start to finish, ensuring completion within agreed upon timeframe and budget is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
