About the role

Prysmian is a global cable manufacturer with over 100 manufacturing locations worldwide. Thousands of tons of finished, semi-finished and raw product circulates between Prysmian’s different countries of operation. These “intercompany” transactions encompass both Logistics and Controlling business areas. The SAP Logistics Intercompany Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the Intercompany functions within the SAP ERP system.  They are also responsible for evaluating, designing, implementing, and rolling out SAP project initiatives.  They work closely with the business and global IT to determine current and future needs and work within SAP to provide solutions.  They will provide guidance to the SAP support staff in terms of both mentoring and training.

Responsibilities:

Identify problems and opportunities for improvement in their business operations, and to design and implement SAP business solutions to facilitate the day-to-day operations

Provide Support and Training:

  • Manage daily ticket queue
  • Manage work for support team
  • Write reports to support business needs
  • Create user and technical documentation for SAP applications
  • Provide training and instructions to end-users

Design and Implement:

  • Manage projects for custom solutions and implementations
  • Manage project teams (both internal and external)
  • Analyze current process and determine business needs
  • Work with global IT to design solutions that fulfill the business needs
  • Program and support implementation of customized solutions
  • Testing applications to assess their performance and functionality

Personal Skills:

Good written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to learn new concepts and functions. Ability to learn some technical skills.

Knowledge-based Skills:

Experience in supply chain planning, controlling, compliance or general Information Technology experience. SAP experience preferred.
