Job Summary

Responsible for leading and overseeing research initiatives and developing policies that ensure regulatory compliance with intuitional and experimental codes at MGB Health Plan. Collaborates with various departments to identify policy needs and ensure adherence to best practices and legal requirements.

Essential Functions
-Conducts research to identify regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
-Develops and updates hospital policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
-Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to implement and enforce policies.
-Monitors changes in healthcare regulations and recommends policy adjustments.
-Prepares reports and documentation for accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies.
-Provides training and education to staff on new and updated policies.
-Leads policy review committees and facilitates stakeholder engagement in policy development.
-Ensures all policies are accessible and communicated effectively across the organization.
-Participates in audits and assessments to evaluate policy compliance.
-Performs other duties as assigned
-Complies with all policies and standards


 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required (experience can be substituted for degree)


Licenses and Credentials

  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required


Experience

  • At least 5-7 years in healthcare policy development, compliance, regulatory affairs, or accreditation, preferably in a health insurance setting
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in supervisory or leadership role required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

  • Proficiency in policy development and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
