Job Overview

The Regional Warehouse Inventory Specialist will be responsible for ensuring proper stocking levels to support Distributors in regional locations. This position will oversee inventory and fill rate levels. Work with Distribution directly to collaborate on what parts Komatsu will stock versus dealers in their locations (includes protected stock). Additionally, they will collaborate with planners to replenish stock and minimize excess inventory.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee approximately $45M for over 8000 part numbers in inventory in 7 regional depot locations and 1 MPDC (including protected stock)
  • Scope of inventory control includes expensive items like major components, repair parts, and undercarriage
  • Support 30+ distributors in their requests for depot inventory
  • Ensure Hansei collaboration process with distributors takes place regularly with reporting metrics
  • Collaborates with Planners to ensure proper ordering and address expediting needs to ensure stock availability
  • Conduct root cause analysis, establish counter measures, report and maintain performance metrics to achieve business plan objectives
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Life Cycle Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree Business/Management/Statistics Preferred, MBA and APICS certification a plus or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, production planning and/or whole goods product experience a plus
  • Strong Analytical skills, capable to transform complex data into a meaningful story
  • Extreme sense of urgency and bias for action
  • Embraces accountability and responsibility-both shared and individual
  • Professional PC skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI, and Access
  • Professional written and oral communication skills required
  • Physical Requirements:  This position requires sitting for extended periods of time over 90% of the work period to complete detailed work, typically using a PC.  The position occasionally requires working extended periods to meet time sensitive deadlines
