QVC Studio Production Fall Internship

The Opportunity

QVC is looking for a student to help support our Studio Production team this fall. Under the Supervision of the Coordinating Producers, the Studio Production Intern will assist our fulltime studio team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help support our live show and on screen talent. The Video Commerce/Studio Production team delivers engaging shopping experiences producing the best of retail, media and social to our customers presenting curated collection of unique products made personal by the power of storytelling.

QVC is providing a part-time, paid fall internship that runs from 9/9/2024 to 12/13/2024 with a weekly commitment working onsite Monday through Friday.

Your Impact

• Prepare product displays and demonstrations following product blueprints, information within OneNote and listed in the broadcast PAL.

• Help with product demonstrations and the flow of product and product support materials on set before, during and after live program.

• Assist Studio Team in audit of all product setups whether presence of vendor or guest or culinary stylists are there or not, to ensure correct inventory remains correct.

• Work with Studio Team and support all areas of the studio set(s) before each show – including camera blocking, props, set cleanliness, sell table condition – and complete necessary changes under general guidance of Coordinating and Associate Producers.

• Move and positioning cameras and monitors per established blocking guides and as directed by producers/members of the Video Commerce Production Team

• Support studio personnel (i.e.: producers, directors, talent) in the execution of production activities, including knowledge of lighting board for in the moment cues.

• Assist Studio Team in providing Program Hosts with necessary tools (i.e.: product, product cards, rulers) for presentations.

• Help to ensure that all demonstration materials, set pieces, What You Get merchandise displays and props are struck from broadcast set(s) and returned to appropriate location promptly, return broadcast set to original condition.

What You Bring

• You must be a Junior, Senior or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, university or master's program.

• Must be a current junior, senior, or graduate student studying Television/Media Production, Communication, or related major.

• Working knowledge of production basics, including camera movement and set blocking.

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
