Position: Quality Engineering Technician

On-Site Position: Logan, UT


Work Schedule

You have the option to choose between working a 9/80 or 5/8 schedule.

  • 9/80 Schedule: 9-hour days- Every other Friday off 
  • 5/8 Schedule: 8-hour days - Monday through Friday

Summary:

The Quality Engineering Technician assists the Quality Engineers with compliance documentation, work instructions, failure analysis, customer support, and processing returns. Your contributions will help us continue our journey towards Winning as One: One company. One team. One purpose. One plan. One culture. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promote and assure a safe and respectful team-based working environment
  • Assist Quality Engineers in reviewing customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into program and product-specific quality planning and procedures 
  • Assist QE with MRB disposition, investigation, follow-through, and closure
  • Assist QE in developing customer-required quality documents (e.g. APQP, FAIR, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, Inspection Plans, Source Inspection documentation, etc.)
  • Consolidate, analyse, and report process and product quality results and issues as requested by Quality Engineering or management

Key Metrics:

  • Quality data analysis
  • Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing
  • Non-conforming material
  • Customer data integrity & delivery

Requirements

  • Must be “Lawful US Persons” (US Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, Political Asylee or Refuge.  This position requires the use of information that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not provide sponsorship. 
  • Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance 
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 – 3 years of related work experience in a controlled manufacturing environment 
  • Associate degree in a related field (preferred)
  • 1-3 years in a quality position (preferred)
  • IPC and J-STD electronics certifications (preferred)
  • Experience with AS9100, ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems (Prefered) 
  • Strong experience with MS Office tools, (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word, and M
