Job Description
We are looking for a Quality Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2024. This position will be responsible for the process of Corrective Action improvement, as well as the creation of a SCAR process that supports our operations.
- Corrective Action (CA) Process Improvement
- Root Cause Analysis training creation
- Modification of SharePoint tool to ensure proper actions are completed
- Creation of systemic reporting to ensure timeliness of completion, ownership of the process, and verification of the effectiveness.
- Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Process Improvement
- Development of automated method to create SCAR report
- Closed loop tracking of SCAR by Supplier
- Reporting of open, completed, and closed SCAR reports
Qualifications
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in quality, manufacturing, or related field.
- Understanding of Quality Systems and procedures
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects
- Basic Knowledge of statistical tools
- Familiarity with of the information systems, preferably SAP
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to problem solve and speak in understandable language
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good understanding of working safely
- Clearly able to demonstrate core values of integrity, respect, trust, shared risk and simplicity
- Strong detail orientation
- Results oriented and self-motivated
- Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Root cause analysis training or coursework
- ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 system experience (writing procedures, work instructions)
- SharePoint, Power BI reporting
- Experience in manufacturing environment
