Position Summary
A Painting and Coating QC Inspector will oversee all painting and coating operations to ensure that the procedures are performed during their shift to specifications and best practices of the trade.
Position Highlights
Candidate must have NACE CIP Level I certification.
Candidate must have 3+ years’ experience inspecting coatings on steel and pipe.
Candidate must physically cable of standing, kneeling, climbing, crawling, carrying 50lbs, and working in the outside elements to included extreme heat.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Can undertake unsupervised non-destructive and destructive inspections of liquid and non-liquid coatings applied to any substrate while working in a shop setting (shop includes but is not limited to workshop, factory, or plant)
Inspect painting and coating operations
Work with teams to solve problems in regard to painting and coating operations.
To complete and sign-off of coating operations
Report progress and issues to supervision.
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in inspecting painting and coating operations on steel and pipe
NACE CIP Level II Certification
Knowledge of corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety
