Quality Control Associate

We are looking for a Quality Control Associate to join our team in Baltimore, MD!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Quality Control (QC) testing/final acceptance tests for product release.
• Performs manufacturing inspections, checks testing and sampling procedures for incoming components and raw materials to ensure that company standards are met.
• Performs routine and non-routine simple to complex testing in support of next-generation sequencing (NGS) finished and in-process products from manufacturing processes.
• Follows all ISO, cGMP/cGDP/cGLP, Environmental Health and Safety guidelines and regulations as required by the job function.
• Participate in the execution of Validation & Verification protocols.
• Supports the monitoring of critical equipment and instrumentation for proper operating condition to standards. Assist with weekly and monthly lab maintenance and equipment log and calibration equipment.
• Participates in all Lean Daily Management activities and support 5S initiatives and implementations.
• Upholds the highest levels of safety performance in all aspects of the job.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
• Works with hazardous chemicals during the processing of QC samples.

• Perform other duties related to the position when required by QC and Operations management.
• Works with hazardous chemicals during the processing of QC samples.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Good micro-pipetting skills and Elisa testing desirable.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
• routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Experience with Lean Daily Management methodology preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft) preferred.
• Knowledge of next-generation sequencing (NGS) preferred.
• Associate degree in Biology/Chemistry With 1-2 years of experience in molecular QC, or BA/BS degree in Chemistry, Biology or equivalent degree in a related field with minimum 1 year or less of professional experience in molecular QC testing.

Pay Range: $27-28/hr
