About the Team

Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. We help our clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.

What You Will Be Doing

As part of our dynamic development team, the Quality Assurance Specialist will establish and implement quality assurance and compliance processes. You'll be at the forefront of modernizing and migrating our systems to the cloud, while leveraging the latest technologies to ensure our clients have the best experience possible.  

  • Work closely with IT leaders to develop/implement overall quality, maturity roadmaps and plans for each IT functional area.
  • Consult with development, testing, and production teams to create, publish, and implement software quality assurance plans.
  • Review progress toward software quality assurance plans regularly with IT leadership, technical teams and internal customers to make modifications as necessary.
  • Work closely with developers, providing guidance on writing effective test plans and strategies, reviewing them, and providing constructive feedback in ensuring maximum code coverage and quality.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate development teams on quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and tools.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing processes and track metrics related to code coverage, defect rates, and testing efficiency

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer/information sciences, related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Typically, at least 15 years of experience in software UX, API, and DB testing within the Azure Cloud Stack.
  • Extensive experience using testing tools such as ReadyAPI, Postman, JMeter, Selenium and TestComplete, as well as test case management solutions such as TestRail.
  • Expertise in test planning, test case design, and test execution across various testing levels (functional, regression, performance, etc.).
  • Background in Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $129,990.00 - $218,380.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
