Job Description
- Quality Process Definition: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, including test plans, test cases, and procedures, to ensure consistent and effective quality evaluation of software products throughout the development lifecycle.
- Quality Standards and Metrics: Establish and enforce quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the quality of our software products and measure the effectiveness of quality processes. Provide regular reports to senior leadership highlighting quality status, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled Quality Assurance Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment to promote professional growth and maintain a high-performing team.
- Testing Automation: Champion the adoption of testing automation tools and methodologies to streamline the QA process, empowering the development teams to deliver high-quality software faster, more efficiently, and with greater confidence.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate QA processes, methodologies, and tools, driving improvements to optimize the quality assurance function and overall software development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with software development teams and product owners to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, technical specifications, and project objectives to achieve high-quality deliverables.
- Test Environment Management: Oversee the planning, setup and maintenance of test environments enabling comprehensive and reliable software testing inclusive of functional, regression, performance, integration, security, and user acceptance (UAT) testing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience (5 years) in quality assurance management, preferably in a software development environment
- Thorough understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
- Demonstrated experience implementing testing automation frameworks for UI and service-level testing using tools such as Ranorex, Selenium, and TestComplete
- Proficiency and expertise with various testing types such as functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to software quality.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Champion of the Agile software development methodology using Scrum and/or Kanban
- Experience and proficiency with testing tools such as Zephyr, TestRail and/or Microfocus
- Excellent problem solving and strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify potential quality issues and create effective solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams
