Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Clerk/Warehouse Associate to join our team in a full-time, onsite capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing materials for the production of boats and marine upholstery products as well as shipping, receiving, and maintaining raw materials and components for production. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with ERP systems, strong verbal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Qualifications
- Procurement: Prepare and expedite purchase orders.
- ERP System Management: Enter purchases orders and receive invoices into the ERP system.
- Microsoft 365 Proficiency: Create and manage documents, presentations, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to support procurement activities.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts and inventory management to ensure accuracy and availability of materials.
- Order Management: Enter sales orders and create invoices within the ERP system to support the sales and accounting teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Materials Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient procurement processes.
- General Warehouse Duties:
- Load and Unload Trucks
- Pull Production Kits
- Put away Inventory
Qualifications:
- Experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within manufacturing.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
Essential:
- High school diploma or equivalent level of training.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a related field, such as customer service or purchasing.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature occasionally.
- Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment.
- Ability to climb in and out of interior of boats.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
