Overview

The Project Manager will drive execution of Clarity IT projects and application enhancements, ensuring that commitments are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.  They will proactively work with the team members and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered in a manner that meets the business requirements. This role will also perform activities pertaining to requirements gathering, testing software, application support and minor maintenance activities of the Clarity PPM application.

 

This is a remote role in the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • Delivers projects and other team initiatives on schedule and within the scope of the approved requirements.
  • Ensures the use of appropriate processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manages project risks through prioritization and planning, up to delivery.
  • Conducts requirements sessions for enhancements to the Clarity application.
  • Participates in testing software upgrades and general enhancement deliverables.
  • Complete basic application maintenance activities to sustain the Clarity application.
  • Conducts the weekly prioritization call with internal business leads.
  • Manages scope changes and change requests, escalating internally, as necessary, the impacts on schedules and deliverables.
  • Anticipates and communicates the impact of project decisions and actions on other IT teams and our internal business users.
  • Establishes trusted relationships with the project team, key influencers/stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Consistently completes project status and reporting, both written and via meetings, as appropriate
  • Builds relationships across internal organizational functions, as required by the project, at various levels including but not limited to decision makers.
  • Motivates the team to drive toward success and find ways to overcome difficulties.
  • Identifies, suggests, and implements improvements to processes.

 

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business/technical experience (Preferred)
  • PMP, or similar project management certification (Preferred)

 

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 2-4 years relevant work experience managing Software Development projects/initiatives.
  • Familiarity with, and ability to influence, the Software Development Life Cycle (Preferred)
  • Preference given to those with 1-2 years’ experience managing project schedules in Clarity PPM (Modern UX highly preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of Clarity PPM, beyond time entry.
  • Solid organization and time management skills.
  • Healthcare IT experience or General experience within an IT organization (Strongly preferred)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Great communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be highly self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to facilitate discussion, identify alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to identify and remove impediments, as well as prevent distractions for the team.
  • MS Office Suite skills are required (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Experience leading and/or participating in software testing QA events either as a tester, subject matter expert, consultant, team lead, or manager to the degree necessary for planning, monitoring, and managing issues to successful resolution (Preferred)
