Aviagen is establishing a new world-class operation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), comprising farms, a hatchery, a feed mill, a laboratory, and a decontamination facility across multiple locations.

To support the successful delivery of this ambitious project, Aviagen has partnered with GPP, a specialist consulting firm with extensive expertise in the design, management, and supervision of poultry industry construction projects.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the project team and work closely with both GPP and Aviagen stakeholders throughout the construction phase.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Project Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and control of construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in accordance with the required quality and safety standards.

Acting as the Owner's Representative, the Project Manager will safeguard Aviagen's interests throughout all phases of the project, ensuring that business objectives, contractual commitments, and strategic priorities are achieved.

The role serves as the primary coordination point between the Project Director, site supervisors, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, providing leadership throughout construction, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects, ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

  • Report regularly to the Project Director and Senior Project Management Team on project performance, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Act as the key interface between engineering disciplines and site teams, ensuring the accurate implementation of designs and technical specifications.

  • Provide direction and oversight to site supervisors and ensure consistency in decision-making and project execution.

  • Monitor project progress against established schedules and proactively implement corrective actions where required.

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, and cost control measures.

  • Review and approve progress certificates, contractor claims, variation orders, and payment applications.

  • Lead, coordinate, and support the site supervision team across multiple project locations.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while effectively managing project changes.

  • Chair project meetings and ensure timely follow-up and closure of action items.

  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting progress, key achievements, risks, and critical decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, construction management, or major capital projects.

  • Proven experience managing large-scale industrial, agricultural, infrastructure, or manufacturing construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.

  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project costs and contractual matters.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, scheduling tools, and reporting systems.

  • Fluent in English.

Preferred

  • Experience within poultry, agribusiness, food production, or industrial facility construction projects.

  • Previous experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.

  • Familiarity with KSA construction regulations, permitting processes, and local business practices.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management tools.

  • English is a must & Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
