Compensation $100,000 to $133,000 and a potential 4% annual bonus.

*This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is a dynamic and results-oriented individual that will work with the global organization to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion. This person will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The successful Project Manager (PM) will have a good understanding of business processes and will be able to define project scope, goals, and objectives. Their work will include developing comprehensive plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessment. The Project Manager will be familiar with project management tools and will be able to organize projects in a work breakdown structure, estimate budgets, identify roles and responsibilities, and delegate tasks to effectively meet deadlines.

To be successful, the Project Manager can develop a communication plan to keep the various members of the team and the stakeholders informed to ensure business objectives are accomplished and project timelines are met. They will lead project teams through the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities of the assigned projects. The Project Manager is passionate, demonstrates accountability, and educates team members as needed to achieve program milestones. 

The project manager will be able to observe and evaluate a situation and then determine how to create and introduce tools or processes to make individuals and teams more effective/efficient. 

Reports to:   Director; Strategic Initiatives and Project Management or Senior Program Manager
Direct Functional Reports:  None
 

Position Responsibilities:

•    Lead technical resource teams throughout specific aspects of the product life cycle: ideation, development, commercialization, continuous improvement.
•    Facilitate appropriate phase/gate or change management process to enable new products/processes or change existing product/processes.  
•    Under the guidance of a senior program manager, focus on timelines, budgets, or milestones for each project, identify risks and mitigations, and communicate to a range of audiences from shop floor to executive suite. Produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.
•    Coordinate resources in support of experiments, root cause analysis, and other development activities.
•    Act as change agent for products and programs and ensure all quality management system requirements are met.
•    Develop and implement improvement programs related to experimental, operational, and commercialization excellence.

Required Skills & Education:

  • BA or BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar. 
  • Experience level: 
    • Minimum 5 years technical experience in manufacturing.
    • Minimum 2 years in project management or similar role. 
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States
  • Required Background:
    • Experience leading and supervising a technical team, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
    • Experience in estimating budgets and resource allocation in projects.
