Position Description

 If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in the life of a child, Project Harmony is looking for you.  We are seeking an experienced and committed Program Manager to join our dynamic and innovative organization.   The Program Manager – Medical reports directly to the Director of Children’s Services and is charged with providing leadership in all areas relating to the clinical operation of the medical department in Children and Family Services. The Program Manager – Medical provides treatment for children with suspected sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. The Program Manager – Medical shares in the administrative functions that directly impact medical services and collaborates with the management team in overall planning and budget activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Supervise all medical staff (e.g., Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses), including providing and receiving feedback, ensuring participation in peer review, and conducting regular performance reviews.
• Provide direct clinical services, to include forensic medical examinations of child abuse victims (sexual, physical and neglect).
• Regularly evaluate and update policies and procedures related to medical best practices for quality assurance.
• Oversee all medical billing and procedures to ensure accurate and complete billing for all medical services provided.
• Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings when indicated.
• Hire and orient all Medical staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities appropriately to medical team members.
• Serve as on-site supervisor for Triage Center.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among medical staff and partner agencies by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport and participating in team problem-solving methods.
• Develop and present evidence-based medical trainings to meet the needs of staff and community partners.
• Oversee medical supplies inventory by studying usage reports, identifying trends and anticipating needed supplies.
• Provide supervision of continuing professional education, peer review, in-service training and orientation of new medical staff.
• Provides supervision of clinical scheduling, call and leave for medical staff.
• Ensure compliance with NCA Standards of Accreditation for medical program.
• Rotate 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
• Maintain an adjusted caseload and provide other duties as assigned by Director of Children’s Services.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education and Training

• Nurse Practitioner degree required from an accredited medical school.
• Active APRN Nurse Practitioner license required from the State of Nebraska.
• Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), pediatric and adolescent training, preferred and if not held will need to obtain within six (6) months of hire
• Must maintain all continuing education requirements for state licenses and any other certifications held.
