The Manufacturing Production Associate - Molder provides the highest quality molds and die making according to written specifications and meeting our customer specifications. The Molder will cross train in various manufacturing areas assisting in controlling costs, promoting process improvements, and meeting scheduling and inventory goals. 

Job Description

• Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.
• Constructs make-ready style and engraved molds
• Preps metal to be used in making product
• Fills mold with silicone as specified on order
• Puts die/sheet mold in press
• Once cured, removes excess rubber from mold
• Removes die from mold; cuts & drills as specified
• Examines for accuracy
• Packages

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skills: 

• Basic Mathematical Skills
• Ability to use measuring tools (Vernier calipers, scale, micrometer)
• Familiarity with computer applications (for shipping purposes)

1.     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, sit and type, occasionally twist/turn, reach above shoulder and outward, stand, walk, bend, grasp with hands on a regular, daily basis and lift, stretch, and squat throughout the day.

2.     Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

3.     Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring object into sharp focus.
