PharmaCann, Inc. owns and operates best-in-class production facilities and retail dispensaries for cannabis-based products. We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. The Kitchen Production Lead assists the Manager and Supervisor monitor day-to-day operations of the kitchen within the MIP facility including monitoring and helping in the production, depositing, forming, bottling, labeling, and packaging of edibles and topicals produced for specific company product lines. The Kitchen Production Lead is responsible for directing the Kitchen Production Associates in production, cleaning, and facility upkeep while adhering to all company policy and industry regulations under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisor. The Kitchen Production Lead is responsible for the continued training of employees in maintaining quality standards, safety, compliance, sanitation, and cleanliness. The Kitchen Production Lead is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism, acting as a Leader by example for the Production Associates.
Pay for this position starts at $21/hour
Essential Duties
Procedures, Productivity, and Quality
- The Kitchen Production Lead assists Management and Supervision in monitoring day-to-day operations of the kitchen within the MIP facility including monitoring and helping in the production, depositing, forming, bottling, labeling, and packaging of edibles and topicals produced for specific company product lines. The Kitchen Production Lead is responsible for directing the Kitchen Production Associates in production, cleaning, and facility upkeep while adhering to all company policy and industry regulations. The Kitchen Production Lead is responsible for assisting in making sure of the continued training of employees in maintaining quality standards, safety, compliance, sanitation, and cleanliness. The Kitchen Production Lead is expected to operate under the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.
- Follows the direction of Supervision and Management to ensure that daily production goals are met in efficient manners.
- Work alongside Production Associates to produce and package products compliantly.
- Assist Kitchen Supervision and Management in the training of all new employees on production of products, and other kitchen SOPs.
- Guide new employees through the process and ensure all SOPs are being followed with the oversight of the Kitchen Supervisor and Manager.
- Be the point of contact for any Kitchen Production Associate questions regarding product production and creation. Pass along questions or issues out of the scope of a lead.
- Ensure that production is performed by following standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work with and around other managers, supervisors and employees in the MIP.
- Measure ingredients and products accurately so that optimal levels of production are met.
- Perform a series of preventive and general maintenance tasks on production equipment and tools and facilities.
- Weigh and store finished products ensuring that all pertinent information is recorded in logs.
- Accountable for weighing, labeling, packaging, and product logging for accurate inventory control.
- Responsible for proper use, maintenance, and sanitation of designated equipment.
- Process finished product to desired company standards following quality control standards.
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment and material.
- Receive food items and ensure appropriate storage when Supervisor or Manager is unavailable to check in deliveries.
- Safely operate food processing equipment.
- Ensure that all food items received are of good quality and appropriate quantity.
- Make sure that all food items are stored and rotated properly using first in first out (FIFO) methods.
- Participate in packaging and assembling food items.
- Prepare processed food in accordance to recipes and SOPs
- Ensure that food products are processed and prepared by following standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Clean work areas and surfaces in the kitchen to ensure a safe working environment.
- Label packaged food items appropriately.
- Monitor quality and quantity of food items.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations through guidance from a manager or supervisor.
