About the Team
The Global Payments team is building a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, such as TikTok, Helo, Games, Education, etc.

Responsibilities
- Design features on an AI/machine learning driven decision engine integrated with core tech stack, write clear requirements and documents to communicate with developers
- Responsible for risk operation system requirements, taking into account both implementation solutions and good user experience
- In-depth understanding of upstream and downstream systems to ensure the application of risk systems in overall architecture
- In-depth understanding of business, responsible for integration between business and risk systems, and cooperating with the strategy team to execute
- Deep dive into data through systematic and ad hoc analyses that identify root causes of loss segments and improve the new products and processes
- Lead risk product research to ensure that risk systems have the ability to prevent various attacks
- Communicate results on a regular basis to stakeholders around the world, including executive leadership

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree (Ph.D. is a plus) in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science Engineering or a similar Quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience as a product manager in financial industry
-Strong analytical skillset and experience with analytics tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python, Hive, Spark, and other statistical or data analysis packages)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence others, with strong leadership skills and ability to manage

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payment risk industry, experience in risk decision engine.
- Results-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritization and ownership

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $414000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
