As our Procurement Analyst you will be accountable for overseeing all purchasing activity for MRO/Indirect products and services, purchasing projects, and activities delegated by Purchasing Managers. Your primary focus will be providing the best value to all departments in the areas of purchase order processing and negotiating with suppliers.
You will also be responsible for providing technical assistance and daily correspondence to key internal/external customers and suppliers. In addition, you will be tasked with providing purchasing support to Department Heads and Corporate Purchasing on a regular basis.

What you’ll be doing
- Assuring purchase orders are approved, created, and communicated to suppliers
- Requesting quotations and managing bid waiver approval and capital project purchases
- Expediting purchase orders and ensuring purchase order commitments are accurately confirmed
- Providing back-up assistance to Purchasing Managers on purchasing-related matters
- Assisting with resolution of invoice discrepancies
- On-boarding new suppliers and maintaining SAP contract updates within Cobblestone
- Supporting P-Card purchases for plant
- Processing required paperwork from suppliers such as Non-Disclosure Agreements and COI’s
- Devising recommendations for process and system improvements
- Year-end inventory
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent experience
- 2- 5 years of experience in Procurement
- Proficiency in SAP/ARIBA
- Ability to identify and initiate areas for process improvement
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Consistent track record of achieving customer satisfaction
- Ability to purchase best value in accordance with purchasing policy
- Previous experience with contributing to cost reduction goals
- Strong understanding of strategic plan development and implementation goals
