Principal Software Engineer

The Principal Software Engineer at Drake Software will elevate the team from both a technical and practice point of view. It will lead full time developers and contractors, analyzes user needs, develops software solution, designs & customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. It will do so by consulting with business teams and working closely with developers, architects, project managers, business analysts, and QA roles across the business to support stakeholder strategies, capabilities, and processes.

 

• Work with business partners, and senior designers to capture requirements & determine solutions that integrate with existing applications, prototypes and systems.
• Support the development team in all aspects of the SDLC.
• Effectively translate business requirements into technical requirements with the team
• Collaborate, define, design, and build mission-critical web applications.
• Provide technical guidance and promote development and coding best practices.
• Help coordinating tasks and responsibilities among team members.
• Write testable, efficient code and set code standards for the team.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams and management to deliver projects.
• Actively mentor individual and the community on advanced technical issues
• Design and develop scalable, responsive progressive web applications using Asp.net Core, MS SQL, Angular.
• Designing and developing RESTful APIs using C#, Asp.net Core.
• Experience working with offshore teams.
• Remain up to date with the latest software and computer technology.
• Other duties as defined.
