Job Summary

Introba is looking for a Principal, Senior Director Mechanical, to join our growing team and represent Introba as both our Internal and External Mechanical Leader.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Executing on and supporting the approved strategic business plan with respect to the given Discipline specifically related to performance including sales, profit, and chargeability.

  • Working with Sector Leaders to support sales and backlog growth.

  • Participate in high-level pursuits and projects as PIC or PM.

  • Actively participating in the Discipline externally via speaking and/or publishing articles and posts to further promote our capabilities and strengths in the Practice (minimum quarterly).

  • Actively participating in a minimum of one Discipline organization.

  • Maintaining relationships with, sharing and strategizing how to continually expand capabilities with the related Discipline Leaders in the Regions outside the US.

  • Leading and Managing Discipline Managers and teams to execute on the approved Strategic Plan and Growth Goals.

  • Collaborating with the other Discipline Leaders within the Practice and the firm.

  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing a succession plan for long term Discipline strength and continuity including mentoring teams into future roles.

  • Actively Participating in Discipline Leader Meetings

  • Participating in the development of the annual strategic business plan related to delivery, performance strategic growth (people, NSR and profit) for the Discipline. This requires working in tandem with the Sector and Business Unit Leaders, as well as HR and Recruiting Teams.

  • Reporting monthly (at minimum) on the Discipline related to progress per the strategic plan, performance, key initiative, strategic hiring needs, critical issues, etc. 

  • Identifying and working with Sector and Business Unit Leaders for strategic Subject Matter Expert (SME) hiring needs and knowledge development / training.

  • Participating in the go/no go process for proposals / pursuits.

  • Identifying and developing future recruits.

  • Developing high performing teams that deliver quality work.

  • Supporting and managing teams for development and adherence to standards, processes and innovations to gain efficiencies.

  • Ability to communicate with clarity at all levels with a fluent verbal and written style.

  • Excellent communication with clients and teams.

  • Highly collaborative, able to lead and bring together diverse teams and unify design practices with other Discipline leaders.

  • A technical leader within the discipline, known and recognized by peers, clients and industry colleagues.

  • Ability to lead the development and implementation of national design standards.

  • Strong analytical, strategy and operational skills.

  • Excellent business acumen, including understanding of financial goals and reporting.

  • Strong presenter able to communicate about the Discipline, team and our services by discipline and holistically for firm.

  • Ability to develop or manage resource forecasting and workload management.

  • Strong ability to develop engineering fees and assist with proposal generation.

  • Strong knowledge of discipline trends.

  • Strong client management and communication skills.

  • Ability to train and mentor staff and share knowledge in a clear and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated high level of integrity.
