Norton Rose Fulbright has an immediate need for an ambitious, self-motivated college graduate with an interest in the legal profession for a full-time position as Practice Assistant. The Practice Assistant will support a regulatory docket and perform various administrative tasks needed to assure timely filing of healthcare payment appeals, including preparation of legal documents, file maintenance and management and general administrative duties.
The role is remote but may require presence in the office from time to time pursuant to the firm’s hybrid work policy. Overtime and flexibility in schedule may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accept work assignments from practice group lawyers and work collaboratively with other team members on duties assigned
- Complete administrative tasks for assigned practice group, including collecting source documents from client systems, maintaining databases and reviewing and logging results
- Maintain regulatory files and docket deadlines
- Create and maintain practice group specific legal documents
- Organize source documents in the document management system
- Assists lawyers and Practice Coordinators with preparing, editing and proofreading a variety of documents
- Additional responsibilities or special projects, as requested

Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in a law firm or professional service organization preferred
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude, with flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exercises confidentiality and discretion
- Maintains a calm and professional demeanor at all times
- Demonstrates good judgment and good interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills and resilience; resourceful and innovative in solving problems and uses experience to continually develop skills
