Pay Rate: $18 - $24/hour based on education, training, and experience; additional bonuses available

SUMMARY

The Plate Saw Operator is responsible for cutting, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Utilizing machinery for the transfer and cutting of material.
• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed (by forklift or other means necessary).
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Retrieve material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Must be able to handle high stress situations.
• Must be able to interact in person with peers and leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in an industrial setting.
• Prior forklift experience (preferred), or ability to become certified in fork-lift operation.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to read tape measure and calipers
• Ability to comprehend decimals and fractions.
• Perform data entry using a computer.
