Job Description

The Palletizer/Light Plate Operator monitors light plate at assigned times for quality, reports defects, analyzes and projects from gauging equipment and reports to Lehr Quality Control and monitors and loads equipment with consumables required for packaging and palletizing (case blanks, case dividers, tier sheets, pallets, banding material, rolls of shrink wrap material, printer cartridges, labels, etc.)

The Palletizer/Light Plate Operator will:

• Start/shuts down equipment systems, shut down emergency equipment and systems as required to standard, and re-start equipment and systems from emergency shutdown state.
• Operates bulk palletizer and wrap machine and makes timely job change adjustments to packaging and palletizing equipment for product being manufactured and makes minor repairs and adjustments to other equipment and field instrumentation as needed to maintain production and equipment reliability and accuracy.
• Monitor consumables inventory in order to maintain proper quantities for uninterrupted production.

The Palletizer/Light Plate Operator should have:

• Ability to lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
