Performance Improvement Analyst Assistant, part time, days

Works under the supervision of Quality Leadership and in conjunction with Performance Improvement Analysts. Conducts concurrent and retrospective review of medical records and provides data for analysis to quality committees to meet various quality initiatives and support the organization-wide performance improvement plan.

Minimum Experience Required

· Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and accreditation standards.

Preferred Experience

· Cerner, eCW experience

· Experience with medical record review, data collection and analysis.

Minimum Education Required

· High School diploma or equivalent required

Job Type: Part Time (24 hours every two weeks)

Shift Length: Flexible hours Mon-Fri

Weekend Frequency: N/A

Wage Range: $18.49-$27.38

Required Education: High School diploma or GED

Medical Record Review and Data Management

• Efficiently and effectively uses software programs for the purpose of data entry, data maintenance, and data retrieval. This includes but not limited to; Microsoft Excel, and EHR based reports.
• Conducts data collection that is timely, accurate, and complete.

Data Analysis

• Facilitates the transformation of data into relevant information, while maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Demonstrates understanding of implications of results; draws conclusions from results; has insight into variables affecting results.

Data Presentation

• Generates appropriate and meaningful graphs & tables.
• Orally presents reports to various teams and committees via PowerPoint or written reports.

Support of Performance Improvement

• Assists committees and Performance Improvement Analysts in identifying and using benchmark data, including current best practice standards.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills in the context of Quality Improvement activities.
