As a People Operations & Marketing Intern at SAS, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing critical HR records and supporting our employer-brand marketing efforts. In this part-time role, you’ll work closely with the HRIS team to maintain data accuracy and compliance, while also assisting Marketing with internal communications and recruiting-brand content. Your Role:

• HRIS Data Entry & Auditing: Take primary responsibility for entering new-hire, transfer, and termination data into our HRIS; conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Employee File Maintenance: Organize and update both electronic and paper personnel files; ensure documentation meets audit and regulatory requirements
• Reporting & Compliance: Generate standard reports on headcount, turnover, and benefits eligibility; support the preparation of HR documentation for internal and external audits
• Onboarding Support: Compile and verify new-hire paperwork (I-9s, tax forms, benefit enrollments); track completion status in the HRIS
• Offboarding Coordination: Manage checklists for exits, ensure return of company assets, and archive personnel records per company policy

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is a plus
• Basic understanding of HR processes, compliance, and documentation standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
