Payroll Administrator 

 

SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator who will provide timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll transactions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and reconcile timecards

  • Address inquiries from team members, supervisors, or Craft Resource Managers regarding timecard changes

  • Manage work portfolio for a specific operating group, including audits, missed hours, off-cycle payroll transfers, and historical corrections

  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain employee data related to timecards

  • Provide excellent customer service to team members

  • Follow department policies related to sensitive information requests

  • Resolve timecard inquiries via telephone or email

  • Build effective work relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

  • Perform additional duties such as maintaining trackers, recording errors, creating KPIs, and working on special projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum one year payroll experience in a multi-state environment

  • Experience with UKG, Oracle, or ADP preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and customer requests

The base pay range for this role is $27.00 - $36.49. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
