The Operations Manager is a senior leader responsible for ensuring the facility consistently achieves production targets while maintaining efficiency, compliance, and quality standards. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role oversees and facilitates the outputs from multiple departments including post-harvest, lab/extraction, packaging, and fulfillment and is accountable for aligning people, processes, and resources to deliver on the production plan.   The Operations Manager will serve as the primary driver of production KPIs, while also supporting financial discipline, facility expansion, and regulatory compliance as well as long-term strategic objectives as defined by the Director of Operations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own production attainment as the #1 KPI.  Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly output meets or exceeds plan across all product lines. 
  • Track, analyze, and report on production KPIs (throughput, yield, attainment, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actions immediately when targets are missed. 
  • Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day production execution and on-time delivery. 
  • Lead and develop departmental managers/supervisors to instill a culture of accountability and continuous improvement as related to production performance. 
  • Monitor production plan and report on production attainment metrics daily/weekly; ensure that actual output consistently meets or exceeds plan. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Cultivation, Planning, Facilities, Fulfillment and Quality teams to meet customer demand, maintain product availability, and deliver new product launches on time. 
  • Support and maintain a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, safety, and employee engagement. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.  
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain management (cannabis or other regulated industry strongly preferred). 
  • Expertise with ERP and compliance systems; experience with Metrc/seed-to-sale platforms highly desirable. 
  • Proven track record in leading large teams, succession planning, and organizational development. 
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Must satisfy the minimum age criteria mandated by applicable state cannabis regulations for this role.

Environmental Factors:This position requires working in an environment that has a high amount of plant matter and pollen. Areas of the facility reach high/low temperatures with high humidity levels. Employees may have exposure to conditions such as dust, plant matter, and particles that affect the respiratory system, eyes, or skin, depending on department job assignments.  Employees are required to wear protective gear and have the option to wear eye and ear protection.
