JOB SUMMARY

ONEOK is seeking an Operations Engineering Intern for our Garden City office. You will work closely with our operations team to support the efficient and safe transportation of crude oil through our pipelines. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of pipeline operations, including engineering design, project management, and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Assist with engineering design and analysis of pipeline systems, including pump stations, metering stations, and control systems.

· Assist with the development of project plans and timelines, including cost estimates and resource allocation.

· Participate in field inspections of pipeline systems and equipment and assist with maintenance and repair activities.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

· Provide support for data analysis and reporting, including the use of pipeline SCADA systems.

· Adhere to company safety and environmental standards and participate in incident investigations as needed.

· Attend team meetings and training sessions to expand your knowledge of pipeline operations and engineering practices.

· You will be asked to create and present a presentation on your gained midstream knowledge at the end of your internship focusing on the projects or new ideas that you assisted with.

Based on area of assignment interns provide field support in a variety of functional areas inclusive of: Engineering, Environmental, GIS, Safety and Health as well as other related disciplines.

With supportive guidance and mentoring Interns are provided the opportunity to engage to obtaining first-hand knowledge and experience.

Internships are designed to augment college learning by further educating students in teamwork, problem solving skills, work ethics, adaptability, communication, responsibility, time management, organization, perseverance and motivation as well as commercial awareness and business acumen.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

·         Assist in a wide range of responsibilities inclusive of job shadowing, preparing reports, analyzing data, learning about various operational, technical, and/or business-related compliance, regulatory, and/or technical components.

·         Assist with development of presentations, trainings, knowledge sharing, and/or other administrative responsibilities

Education

·         The candidate should be currently pursuing a certificate or degree relevant to the internship field

Work Experience

·         None required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·         Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program, preferably with a focus on mechanical, chemical, or petroleum engineering.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

·         Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

·         A valid driver’s license.

·         Ability to: take initiative, demonstrate a positive attitude with an eagerness to learn, and be adaptable.
