About the role

The Operations Director leads the Operations teams at Reckitt’s Zeeland Factory with the Safety First, Quality Always mindset. This position is responsible for embedding a culture of personal and food safety, leadership behaviors, and a commitment to quality while ensuring the development of a strong talent pipeline and an engaged team.

Your responsibilities

• Participate as a key member of the Zeeland Factory Site Leadership Team; drive strategic direction and vision of the site to be the Most Trusted Infant Formula Factory.
• Develop strategic goals and annual objectives in support of the Zeeland Factory and North America Nutrition Supply strategy. Delegate functional responsibility to each department manager to establish and attain goals/objectives.
• Uphold the Reckitt Human Rights and Responsible Business Practices policies, specifically those aspects pertaining to working hours and overtime.
• Develop and execute long-term plans related to succession planning and team development, cost management, facility improvements, advancements resulting from product innovations, equipment upgrades and quality improvements.
• Analyze and audit data from departments relative to the site's performance. Coach department managers on actions to improve performance and correct deficiencies.
• Actively participate in the development of the overall fixed operational and capital budgets and administer the approved budget including capital expense requests.
• Ensure active adoption of, and adherence to, the Reckitt Quality Strategy. Ensure effective implementation of the Zeeland Quality Systems.
• Ensure that all physical assets of the site are effectively protected and maintained.
• Ensure effective communication with Reckitt stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations (i.e. EEO, FDA, OSHA, etc.)

The experience we're looking for

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering, Business, or other related discipline.
• 7-10 years managerial experience in various areas of manufacturing and logistics in a highly regulated (FDA) industry.
• Experience in project management and leadership.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership time management and team building skills.
• Ability to influence, drive change and understand the impact of supply decisions on profitability.
