This is a non-union positionWe are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will provide engineering support for our operations in the US and Canada. The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Enbridge assets.

What You Will Do:
Engineering Services:
Support discussions surrounding technical issues
Support of Engineering Services initiatives aligned with LP strategic initiatives
Support more senior team members within department
Identify opportunities for innovative technologies and contribute to assessments of new technologies
Help identify systemic issues and support their remediation
Support technical input to the MOC process ensuring safety and reliability of assets
Help provide interpretations and ensure compliance to Enbridge standards and regulatory requirements
Support content ownership of Enbridge engineering standards
Support Asset Class Management during Long Range Planning cycle through business case development/support
Work under the guidance and overview of a more senior engineer within Operations Engineering
Continual focus on identifying and implementing cost competitive solutions

Operations:
Collaborate with regional personnel to provide engineering expertise and services to support operations
Support failure analyses, incident investigations, and troubleshooting
Projects:
Support Projects technical design reviews and project process reviews
Support in providing technical guidance and engineering expertise to ensure deliverables meet operational needs
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
Registration as an engineer-in-training or the ability to obtain EIT designation within one year after hire
Up to 4 years of related experience
Good communication skills – both written and verbal to internal and external audiences.
Preferred
Knowledgeable with regulatory and industry codes/standards for the oil and gas industry in the US and Canada.
Legally able to travel within Canada and United States.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e. Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite.
Working Conditions:
Office based environment.
Occasional travel may be required (10% to 15%).

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
