As a Marketing Photographer, you will create publication-quality photography for a wide range of assignments, including group shots, studio product images, outdoor and architectural photography, portraits, and events. This role requires travel to various locations, both on and off Cleveland Clinic property, to capture subjects such as patients, caregivers, surgical procedures, clinical care, and research activities. You will manage all aspects of photography, including editing and production, to produce high-quality images for use in media stories, websites, social media, publications, and presentations.

A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule at Main Campus from 8:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. (after hours and weekends as needed)

Caregivers in his role are expected to travel to all Cleveland Clinic locations.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Create publication-quality photographs of staff and non-staff in our studio setting.

  • Create publication-quality, brand appropriate editorial and photojournalistic photographs of staff, patients and special events.

  • Photograph patients and surgical procedures for various clinical departments, as requested.

  • Work collaboratively with enterprise colleagues to effectively post-process digital imagery for use on various media channels.

  • Proactively discover and share new ways to improve photographic processes, workflows, and techniques with the photo team.

  • Travel to a variety of locations, both on and off Cleveland Clinic property, to perform assignments.

  • Perform duties outside of normal work schedule, as necessary.

  • Utilize all aspects of digital photography or digital imaging to manipulate for digital use and prints.

  • Assist with the daily processing, curation and editing of digital assets to be added to our digital asset management system.

  • Manipulate and add metadata and keywords to all image files.

  • Adhere to current photo and HIPAA release form policies, ensuring compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Photography or in a related field

  • OR an Associate's degree and four years of related professional experience

  • Two years of professional experience in digital photography

  • Experience with technical studio lighting and location lighting.

  • Strong portfolio

  • Ability to manage own workload

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of clients, including patients and families

  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

  • Flexibility to examine alternate problem-solving solutions specific to each unique situation

  • Intermediate proficiency in current professional software, such as Adobe Creative Suite

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to handle, move, and transport various camera and photographic equipment/risers which may be used for assignment work.

  • Manual dexterity necessary for keyboarding as well as the ability to maintain other photographic equipment.

  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
