Marketing Intern - Online Education Unit

The internship is ideal for an individual pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, business, design, or related field. In this internship you will have the unique opportunity to play an important role supporting the OEU’s marketing activities. It is a great opportunity for a self-starter to gain exposure and experience in a variety of areas.
Note: this is a part-time position, expected to last through mid-August 2025.
Core responsibilities include:
- Assist with website copy and layout updates
- Optimize website content and make updates to optimize SEO
- Collect and produce video and written content about current students and faculty, edit, and integrate into email, website, and collateral
- Create and schedule social media content for the OEU
- Design new marketing collateral
- Design templates for presentations and reports
- Design new and improve existing HTML email templates
- Update competitor research

You should demonstrate:
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, business, design, or related field
- Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency with HTML and CSS for design
- Proficiency with and understanding of Google Analytics and SEO
- Prior experience with content management systems (WordPress, Cascade Drupal, etc.) preferred

- Reports to: Senior Marketing Strategist, Online Education Unit
- Location: Carnegie Mellon’s campus in Pittsburgh, PA
- Part-time, 15 hours per week
