Primary Purpose:
- Gain knowledge and an understanding of the plants primary entry-level management positions.
- Attain a well-rounded knowledge base for better decision making.
- Acquire basic leadership competencies for entry-level positions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Shadow a Continuous Improvement Specialist, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Engineer and Area Manager within the business center and perform hands-on learning activities as directed.
- Learn problem solving and continuous improvement methods relative to that portion of the business center.
- Write reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plants manufacturing processes, the roles and responsibilities of the support functions, and technical knowledge of equipment and processes in a specific area.
- Perform a challenge assignment in each of the designated positions.
- Complete designated management and leadership courses for entry-level managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Mimimum 3.0 overall GPA required
- Must be geographically mobile upon program completion
- No experience required.
- Prior co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lead complex projects or teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively through presentations and written documents.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
