Manufacturing Engineer Intern

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer intern to support the Manufacturing team with FactoryLogix routings, work instructions, etc. As well as support manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. This internship is best for someone who can ideally start in July and work part-time during the school year.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares product and process FactoryLogix routings
• Updates FLx routings based on operator feedback
• Supporting prototype and NPI builds
• Technical writing to include work instructions, functional test procedures, standard operating procedures, change impact analyses, and other documentation
• Training production floor on the use of manufacturing equipment

 

Required Qualification:

• Currently enrolled in a BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial engineering, or related engineering function
• PCBA Manufacturing Methods and Procedures
• Ability to read and understand drawings 
• "This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens."

 

Preferred Qualification:

• FactoryLogix knowledge
• MES system knowledge
• Prior internship experience

Sometimes, working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required

Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requires good manual dexterity/coordination, and stamina.

Specific abilities may be requested for overtime during peak business hours throughout the year.
