What You Will Do:
Provides strategic leadership by:
Ensuring organizational objectives are seamlessly incorporated into departmental activities and aligning with the work of internal and external customers.
Coordinating a technical and non-technical team responsible for developing recommendations that inform critical business decisions
Representing Enbridge externally, including at regulatory hearings, and committing to project execution matters
Provide leadership to Project Managers and support groups by:
Directing business and technical aspects to align the capital program with operational realities, covering all facets of project management
Coordinating project scope, schedule, cost, and risk management, ensuring processes are strictly monitored and controlled for major projects
Applying extensive experience to drive improvements and develop innovative capital project solutions, offering customer flexibility and choice
Managing resources to optimize internal and external project execution personnel, ensuring effective planning and risk management
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements through effective coordination
Evaluating internal resources, consultants, and contractors to guarantee quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely work
Coaching, mentoring, and motivating teams of staff, contractors, and collaborators
Handling human resource activities such as professional development, compensation decisions, succession planning, and performance management
Participating in internal and external committees, industry task forces, partner working groups, and community groups
Supporting peers and senior staff in facilitating business initiatives and legal compliance
Continuously improving engineering systems and processes within your sphere of influence
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in engineering, construction, planning, scheduling, and cost control of pipeline or energy industry-related projects
Progressive managerial experience
Preferred:
Professional Engineer registration (P.E.)
Leadership experience managing medium to large projects with internal and external collaborators in greenfield and brownfield energy infrastructure
Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to innovate, lead, and manage change effectively
Outstanding leadership, project management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Ability to work in both office and field environments, capability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, physically able to travel frequently for overnight business trips
Mental Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: High stress tolerance due to project deadlines and concurrent activities, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, outstanding organizational and time management skills
