# Senior Product Manager – Financial Services

## About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the development and growth of innovative financial products that deliver exceptional customer experiences while meeting regulatory and business objectives. This role is responsible for defining product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management within banking, payments, lending, wealth management, insurance, fintech, or other regulated financial services environments.

## Key Responsibilities

* Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
* Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and business case development through launch, optimisation, and retirement.
* Gather and prioritise customer, stakeholder, and market requirements using quantitative and qualitative research.
* Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and Marketing to deliver high-quality products.
* Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
* Ensure products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
* Define product success metrics and use analytics to measure performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Manage product backlogs and prioritise features based on customer value, commercial impact, and technical feasibility.
* Build compelling business cases supported by financial modelling and ROI analysis.
* Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
* Champion agile product management practices and foster a customer-first culture.

## Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
* 7–10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in financial services or fintech.
* Demonstrated experience managing complex digital products from concept through delivery.
* Strong understanding of financial products such as payments, lending, banking, investments, insurance, or capital markets.
* Experience working within regulated environments and collaborating with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams.
* Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
* Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

* MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Institute, SAFe Product Manager, or equivalent.
* Experience with cloud-based platforms, APIs, digital transformation, or embedded finance.
* Knowledge of data analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
* Experience working with AI, automation, or machine learning-enabled products.
