Production Manager
 

ABOUT THE JOB:
The Production Manager will lead and have full responsibility as well as accountability for full product line operations.  They will be responsible for approximately 50+ personnel including hourly production employees, salaried supervisors and supporting manufacturing engineers.  They will lead with a safety-first attitude and drive quality and production plans to meet overall Unified Brands metrics and objectives.  They will be champions of continuous improvement while investing in personnel growth and development.

ABOUT YOUR TASKS:

•    Lead production supervisors, hourly production employees and supporting manufacturing engineers to meet all safety, quality, production, costs and people development metrics.  
•    Set strategic plan and objectives for team in alignment with overall Unified Brands operations goals and objectives
•    Ensure all organization policies and procedures are followed
•    Responsible for training plans and cross training of personnel
•    Responsible for capacity planning in order to meet customer demand.   
•    Establish, monitor and address personnel performance.
•    Optimize material resources and control inventory.
•    Responsible for maintaining safety and housekeeping standards and assure compliance with OSHA standards.
•    Assure that quality levels are maintained, and proper documentation is recorded.
•    Responsible for establishing and monitoring budget objectives.
•    Provide feedback on design and process. 
•    Implement training programs.
•    Drive engineering improvements.
 


 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•    Self-driven leader who can grow and develop talent.
•    Leadership skills with the ability to motivate personnel at different levels.
•    Solid written and verbal communication skills.
•    Computer skills including experience with Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook. 
•    Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
•    Exposure to safety VPP processes preferred.
•    Management skills including planning, budgeting, and decision making. 
•    Knowledge of MRP systems (scheduling, shop floor control, inventory control).
 

ABOUT YOU:

•    Bachelors or Associate Degree in related field of study (business, engineering, or operations) preferred.
•    Minimum of three to five years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment required.

WORKING CONDITION:

•     Climate controlled plant manufacturing environment and general office environment.
